| Glycosaminoglycans (GAGS) are composed of hexosamine and uronic acid disaccharide building blocks. GAGS have a heterogeneous composition. Chondroitin sulfates are the most abundant, and are found in aorta, cartilage, ligaments and tendons. Dermatan sulfate occurs in blood vessels, skin and heart valves as connective tissue component. Heparin is found in connective tissue mast cells, while the structurally related heparan sulfate is found in brain and blood vessel walls. We offer a number of GAGS from different biological sources and with several molecular weights, counter ions, etc. |
