| Functionalized glycans are finding increasing applications in the preparation of bioconjugates (1), for protein modification (2), and drug delivery (3). Carbohydrate conjugates of enzymes and other biological macromolecules exhibit enhanced proteolytic stability and reduced immunogenicity, such as demonstrated for asparginase (4), carboxypeptidase G2 (5), insulin (6), soybean trypsin inhibitor (7), albumin (8), carbonic anhydrase (8), lysozyme (8), IFNa (9), immunoglobulin G (8), NGF (10), TGF-b1 (11), bFGF (12) and TNF receptor (13). They are also employed in functional glcyomics and robotically printed covalent glycan arrays for ligand profiling of diverse glycan binding proteins (14). We offer several classes of functionalized glycans. Please note, that due to the complexity and heterogeneity of many glycans, the structural formulae shown here may be representative of only the main features of the derivatives. |
